A Bed for Books by Nathalie Stämpfli

September 17th, 2011 -
Who said books can not rest in a confortable bed too? Here is a proposal that plays with hiding and revealing of your books. All you have to do is to wake them and to find them among the soft textile layers. An interractive game between

the content of the shelf and the shelf, a play with textures, colors, movement and weights. The Bed for Books is a
nice creative alternative for my stiff bookshelves for sure! And after all, I think anyone can do a nice bed like this, customized. By Nathalie Stämpfli.

Hairy Tablecloth by Nathalie Stämpfli

September 17th, 2011 -
For those moments when you have nothing to say or you search for some inspiration, here it is a nice styling idea of a tablecloth: inspired by the action of turning one’s hair while talking. Cute idea by an artist fascinated by little things
that give you that salt and pepper in life. Just play and have fun with this creative tablecloth. See here the site of a
Bachelor in Design, Graduate of  Design Academy Eindhoven, Nathalie Stämpfli.

30.000 books = 80 foot tower

September 17th, 2011 -

Babel Tower composed by 30.000 books that were not distroyed in the process of building. I think it would be a nice idea to use this idea also in decorating, at least for a period, the Eiffel Tower. I remember I took those 700 stairs until the second level of the Tower and I thought of having a break and reading something on a bench. Marta Minujín is the

artist that put this idea into practice to celebrate the 2011 Buenos Aires World Book Capital. The books were given as a donation by more than 50 embassies and libraries – books written in all kind of languages. The layering of the book
took more than 10 days but as you can see, the effect is just great. Interesting idea in recycling books by giving them a new role!
