The artist is inspired by the cultural landscape and the architecture of Chicago city. She uses organic cotton, bamboo, vegan silk. I am not sure my parents would accept that ( they are artists and they spend a lot of money and time in find good quality tools, so for sure cutting their pencils won’t be any good surprise) but if you find some not so expensive pencils, you can try the following recipe in making nice colorful beads like these.
